I hate gym standards. You know, those lists that get put out every so often by fitness gurus. These lists make bold claims about how hitting x or y as a benchmark is a game changer. Having actually trained in the gym with many of the people who create these lists and seen their clients firsthand, I can tell you these standards are the absolute worst kind of fitness chest beating. The truth is that most of these gurus can’t hit their own standards, and neither can the vast majority of their clients.
