Eggplant can be a polarizing vegetable. There are those who don’t care for it, but I’m in the other camp. I love eggplant in any form, whether roasted, grilled, or even puréed into baba ganoush. Everything I know about eating a more delicious breakfast I learned from my Swedish heritage and the cultures of Scandinavia. Here are five important lessons Scandinavia has to teach us about breakfast.

DIY Mama: 20 Small Luxuries for Mamas & Their Babies

Let’s be honest — kids are dirty little creatures. They spill everything. Plus there are paint stains from the budding artist, and grass and dirt stains from the future soccer star. And, my favorite, potty training stains.

Between these and the spaghetti sauce stains from the — you know — adults of the household, a good stain remover is a must-have. Here’s my go-to formula for getting tough stains out.

One of my favorite breakfast foods as a kid was peanut butter toast. It wasn’t anything exotic — usually just some sort of squishy store-bought whole-wheat sandwich bread toasted and slathered with creamy peanut butter (I was happily raised on JIF).

But I grew up, and so did my taste. I found myself wanting to upgrade the toast situation, while still maintaining that nostalgic flavor. And I did — but with an adventurous twist!
