Pick up a seedless watermelon and you may feel like you solved all your watermelon problems. No black seeds to spit out, right? Well, yes, except for the fact that even though a seedless watermelon doesn’t contain black seeds, it still can be full of white, almost translucent seeds. So is the term “seedless” just a big, fat lie?

August is the perfect time to curl up with a good book. This hot-and-steamy month is, appropriately, Read-a-Romance Month, 31 days dedicated to swooning and melting, yearning and burning. We asked Bobbi Dumas, founder of this homage to romance novels, to pick her favorite book each week. Naturally, we’ll be complementing her suggestions with something to snack on. And since you’re likely to get hot and bothered, we decided to go with food pairings to help cool you down.

There really isn’t anything better than biting into fresh summer fruit. Actually, I take that back — there is something better, and that something is agua fresca. The drink, made popular throughout Mexico and Central America, is simple: Purée fresh fruit with a little sugar and water along with a squeeze of lime juice or lemon juice for a tart kick.

The result is something that’s even more refreshing and satisfying than the juicy fruit on its own, and the array of beautiful colors of juice you can whip up is astounding.

Apartment Therapy recently posted a video tour of this gorgeous loft in Los Angeles. The apartment is located inside an old Edison Electric building, and there are a bunch of long tunnels, secret nooks, and large spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows. The most special part of the space, however, is one small nook that’s dedicated solely to drinking mezcal. Take a look!

Some cocktails are more conducive to early afternoon sipping than others. This one, for instance, stars peach kombucha, with vodka playing more of a supporting role. It’s light, refreshing, and not too heavy on the booze — just what the doctor ordered for a summertime happy hour.

Thank you for posting these yoga poses to soothe sciatica pain. Just be careful when doing yoga, exercises and even massage as doing them the wrong way will do more harm than good. I was once a sciatica sufferer and was able to treat it using natural methods such as by consuming turmeric, and by applying cold and hot compress. What I completely did is the following:

1. Drink a LOT of water daily. The body is made of up to 60% water so it simply makes sense.
2. Follow the guide I used in treating sciatica naturally (link below). This is the most important part. Please follow the comprehensive guide consistently.
3. Eat peanuts daily to loosen up the muscles surrounding the sciatic nerve.

Link to the review of the guide I used: healthandremedies*org/sciatica-sos-review/
(please change * to a DOT for I cannot post links here, thanks!)

Good luck and cheers to your recovery!

One of my favorite training stories from the mainstream media as a kid was the hill that legendary running back Walter Payton used to condition himself in the off season. Look anywhere on the internet and you can find stories of Walter’s out of this world conditioning, how he would bring athletes from all sports to train with him, and how they would all ultimately tap out from exhaustion.

When I left university I made a pretty bold statement: I would be able to develop physical preparation programmes for the athletes I worked with that would prevent all injuries. I was newly qualified and thought my shit didn’t stink. I believed in a couple of years, all physiotherapists and surgeons would be out of a job because my athletes would have zero injuries.
