I’m calling it now: This is the best thing you’ll make in your skillet all week. Presumptuous? Perhaps. I prefer to think of it as confidence to the highest degree. You are in for a dinner that is pure nostalgic comfort.

It draws inspiration from classic cream of mushroom chicken, with a serious grown-up twist that ditches the canned soup, tosses in plenty of garlic and salty Parm, and still finishes with the luxe, creamy sauce you expect.

When you hear the words “pasta salad,” what comes to mind? If it’s a sad, flavorless bowl of mayo-dressed noodles, know that this recipe is far from that. In fact, this is the antithesis of that pasta salad.

With ingredients like olives, parsley, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, cucumbers, feta, and lemon — all tossed in a lemon-Dijon vinaigrette — this pasta salad is bright and fresh, with just the right amount of crunch, zing, and creaminess.

I guarantee it will change your whole view on pasta salad forever.

This recipe is as fun to assemble as it is to enjoy — there’s just something wonderful about hollowing out a crusty loaf of bread and filling it with fresh, springtime goodies.

If smoked salmon and capers don’t suit you, feel free to substitute whatever does, like crumbled bacon, tomatoes, marinated artichokes, or fresh pesto — it’s hard to go wrong with egg boats.

Nothing makes you feel tired more than looking tired, and those dark circles under the eyes are enough to make anyone feel exhausted. Our modern, stressful lives don’t help: long hours in front of the computer screen at the office are murder for your eyes, while stress and lack of sleep only add insult to injury. […]

Last November Amazon launched two of its own affordable and stylish in-house furniture brands. There’s Rivet, a mid-century-modern-inspired line, and Stone & Beam, which leans more rustic and modern farmhouse.

We didn’t write about them then (although our sister site, Apartment Therapy, did) because the two brands were focused on living rooms. We’re writing about them now, because, you guessed it, they’ve both expanded to offer dining room furniture — plus bedroom and home office stuff, but we’re gonna focus on the dining room pieces.

The new pieces are so great, they made us wonder why we don’t hear of people buying furniture on Amazon more often. In general, the site has a ton of kitchen and dining room furniture.

Let’s just take a quick look at some of our favorite pieces from these two new lines.

My love affair with Southern-style coconut cake happened 10 years ago — just after I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and began working on a little TV show called Good Eats. My very first bite of coconut cake made me fall in love with its steep peaks of fluffy frosting, tender white cake, and halo of freshly shaved coconut.

But here’s the secret: That coconut cake required several days of work from a kitchen intern (me). I vowed to someday make a coconut cake of that caliber with less fuss. Well, my friends, that day has arrived!

We are about to enter the magical time of year when I get to turn off my oven and cook as many of my meals as possible on the grill outside. This will be the third summer my husband and I have owned a grill (our third summer of home-owning!). And we’ve finally found a grill-cleaning tool that we actually like!
