Kitchn’s Delicious Links column highlights recipes we’re excited about from the bloggers we love. Follow along every weekday as we post our favorites.

What’s the best way to cook big-flavor dishes with minimal hands-on effort? If you’re thinking about the slow cooker (our readers’ favorite gadget), then you’re on the money.

According to the recipe author (who is in no way biased), this recipe is “one of the best chicken curries I’ve ever had!” You can either take her word for it or make it yourself to find out if she’s telling the truth. I believe her and I’m making this, so I am the real MVP.

When it comes to design, throwing money at a project never hurts. But I’m far more impressed when people actually don’t spend a small fortune on a room. I love hearing when high-end decorators have used IKEA (or the dollar store!) and you’d never know it. Or where they found a piece on the side of a road and rehabbed it. I mean, you can’t buy a storied past for a designer piece, am I right?
Lately I’ve found myself wondering what designers really don’t spend money on, even if they or their clients have it by the boatload. And so I bring you a designer-approved laundry list of stuff not to go for broke on, because, well, there’s no reason to.

Cream it, steam it or cook it on the cob, corn can be every bit as nutritious as it is delicious. The veggie has been getting a bad rap, though, because modified corn products — tortilla chips, corn syrup, and genetically modified corn feed —  have been linked to a host of health problems including […]

One of my biggest pet peeves is reading about brilliant household hacks that require items I don’t have just lying around my pantry. (Why is it that beauty hacks always require witch hazel?) But if you have an ice cube — just one! — you can make cleaning, plant care, and getting dressed in the morning a lot easier.

The food world just lost another great chef. Legendary French chef Joël Robuchon died this morning at the age of 73, after a long battle with cancer. As restaurant workers and home cooks alike mourn the loss, our thoughts also turn to how we can honor such a legend. And the answer turns out to be simple: Make his food. Joël Robuchon’s most famous dish was, quite simply, the best mashed potatoes in the world.

Almond milk has one job: Don’t be cow milk. Plant-based milk substitutes are a huge business, with grocery stores carrying versions made from almonds, cashews, rice, coconut, peas, and more, and the one thing they all have in common is that they don’t come from cows. It’s the main defining characteristic of non-dairy milk. But this week nearly 150,000 half-gallons of Blue Diamond Vanilla Almond Breeze have been recalled in 28 states because somehow cow’s milk got into the almond milk.

If you’re looking for a change, you don’t need to rush out and get bangs. Follow Ree Drummond’s lead and make these Instant Pot carnitas instead — they’re a much better way to spice up your life, and you won’t run the risk of getting stuck with a bad photo on your driver’s license.

This weekend the Pioneer Woman introduced a recipe for Instant Pot carnitas cooked in Sprite that she says “will change your life for the better.” Now a bunch of her fans say they’re trying out Instant Pots for the first time based on her recommendation.

Tom Cruise seems to have pulled off the, well, impossible in the latest installment of his action mega-franchise, Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Despite being 56 years old, the Hollywood icon still does all of his own stunts while portraying globe-trotting secret agent Ethan Hunt. In this particular film — which had the biggest opening weekend and is the best reviewed in the series yet — that includes jumps from one building to another, a helicopter chase, free-climbing a cliff, and doing a HALO jump (that’s high altitude, low open) out of a plane at 25,000 feet.

There are some things in this world that are just not meant to be understood. Where is that long-rumored Lost City of Atlantis? How and why was Stonehenge built? Why do so many people watch The Big Bang Theory? And what made chef and restaurateur Will Horowitz decided to marinate a watermelon, smoke it for eight hours, and bring his unsettling fruit-ham to life?
