We don’t mean to stress you out on this Wednesday morning (side note: How is it August already?), but as the title of this post suggests, you have less than 18 hours to take advantage of a great deal on a KitchenAid stand mixer.

See, Amazon is currently selling the KitchenAid Professional 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer for just $219 (it’s usually $450 on Amazon). This sale even beats Costco, the warehouse store with massive bargains, where the mixer is $350. (It’s also worth pointing out that Target currently has a refurbished option on sale for $200.)

When I was growing up we didn’t eat meat on Fridays, and the go-to non-meat item was fish sticks! I don’t have particularly fond memories of them from back then — at best they were bland, and at worst they were pretty soggy — but you had them for dinner and got on with it. Think of these lunch bowls as the wholesome, more nourishing version of everyone’s favorite takeout dish: saucy beef and broccoli stir-fry. They have all the same umami-rich, savory flavors, but they’re packed with green vegetables and built on a base of broccoli stems, which I find to be totally underrated and underutilized. Although broccoli stems can be enjoyed in a number of ways, here they’re processed into rice-like grains and quickly sautéed for a tender bite with a mild-mannered flavor.
