Now that the holidays are said and done, you may find yourself wanting to step back from the alcohol a bit after all the parties and festivities. Dry January, or Drynuary as it’s often referred to, is exactly what it sounds like: quitting booze for the entire month. For many, it’s a way to reset and practice a little self-care after a busy past couple of months. It doesn’t mean you have to subject yourself to just water for 31 days, though. These 10 mocktail recipes prove Dry January can be a whole lot of fun.

Grease is the worst. Whether you’re frying up a pan of bacon or sautéing veggies in olive oil, grease splatter abounds. It multiplies in tiny little droplets and clings to your stovetop, cabinets, the backsplash, and any other areas close by. It’s often difficult to remove, especially if you aren’t able to clean it right away, so we’ve compiled a simple how-to for cleaning up the mess with basic items you already have in your kitchen.

Pizza, pizza, along the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?

When it comes to frozen pizzas, chances are you have your favorite and don’t really spare a glance to other options, because why would you venture from what you know is good? There are too many bad options lurking out there, ready to ruin your frozen pizza and Netflix night with a mushy crust, bland sauce, or rubbery cheese.

As for me, Costco’s gluten-free is my one-and-only frozen pizza. (Even though I usually do eat gluten!) I never even noticed they had much of anything else when I loaded up my cart with these yummy pies. But we tackle tough questions here at Kitchn, and when the question arose as to which Costco frozen pizza was the best, I was willing to pit my top pick against the rest of the offerings from our favorite warehouse store.

I picked up all half-dozen, prompting an “Are you having a pizza party?” from the check-out clerk.

Hey folks, I’ve got Friday Link Love coming right up, but I wanted to mention that we’re closing in on the last days of sign-up time for the (totally free) Keto Reset Kickoff, which begins Monday morning. You have until midnight this Sunday night (1/6) to sign up. After that, the doors close, so to speak.

The Kickoff won’t be happening on the blog here, so if you want to receive the 7-day email series from yours truly and Dr. Lindsay Taylor—my colleague, co-author and (as many of you know her) administrator of the Keto Reset Facebook group, get your name on the list before Sunday night.

The Kickoff emails and materials will offer a comprehensive look into the full Keto Reset approach with exclusive commentary and video from me, as well as Q&A and additional resources—all totally free. Oh, and did I mention a free ebook and personal journal? For more information, check out my previous post with all the details. I’m looking forward to it!

You can sign up for the Keto Reset Kickoff and receive the 7-day email series, ebook and journal without any purchase whatsoever. Literally, just click here to visit the Keto Reset Kickoff page. Then click the green button at the top of the page that says “Click Here To Get Free Access.” It will take you right to the signup form.

One last thing… Those who participate in the Kickoff are also eligible for a deal even I can’t quite believe: buy a Primal Kitchen® Advanced Keto Kit ($65.95) and get my comprehensive Keto Reset Online Mastery Course entirely free (a $147 value). You are in no way obligated to take advantage of this offer to participate in the Keto Reset Kickoff. But it’s a great way to stock your pantry with staples that will make keto eating easier and more enjoyable as you begin (or continue) your keto journey—and receive an incredibly comprehensive, action-oriented online course to both motivate and inform your full Keto Reset experience.

Thanks, everybody. I hope you’ll join us for the Keto Reset Kickoff next week!

Here’s the thing about change: It’s hard! And you know what? It’s even harder when it’s cold outside and the days are short and you’ve got an emotional (or actual) holiday hangover and suddenly you’re trying to make all these huge life-altering changes. Did you get a new air fryer for the holidays? I added one to my kitchen a few months ago and it’s changed the way I prepare weeknight meals and cook for parties. And while I’ve had a lot of success using the air fryer — like making crispy chickpeas and the easiest-ever donuts — I’ve also run into a few failures that I likely could have avoided.

So from one air fryer aficionado to another, here are seven common air fryer mistakes that can happen to the best of us — plus how to easily fix them.

No matter how hard you wish, your kitchen drawers aren’t going to organize themselves. (Trust me — I only recently took matters into my hands after years of waiting.) These organizers should be able to help you, at least. They’re all super smart and go way beyond the junky plastic ones we all grew up with.

Whether you have a long, narrow drawer filled with jumbled flatware or five super-wide ones with spatulas galore, I’m certain you’ll find your dream organizer on this list. Keep reading and then marvel with me about how we’re all old enough to have “dream organizers” now.

Have you ever thought you added pepper to a dish, only to find out that it was clumped together in your shaker, and you actually added nothing? Have you ever thought to yourself there has to be an easier way to get salt out of a container than shaking it like you’re banging a gavel in a courtroom? Well, it looks like a recent viral video has a tip for you.
