When you’re burning the midnight oil and your stomach starts to grumble, what should you reach for to fuel you through the night? We decided to go directly to the source. We mean writers, of course. After all, who knows better the pain and pleasure of the midnight munchies than the literary set?
This month, we asked 20 authors, past and present, to share what they snack on in the wee hours.
If there is an author who defines the summer beach read, it’s Elin Hilderbrand. In fact, the novelist does most of her writing on the beaches of Nantucket, where she lives with her husband and her three kids, and where all of her 17 books, including the latest, Here’s to Us, are set.
Elin Hilderbrand’s Nantucket novels will make you want to pack up your stuff and move to the idyllic island, and her late-night writing snack is equally enviable.
