As much as I’d like to say I always cook my chickpeas from scratch, that’d be a lie. Yes, you can’t beat the flavor of a pot of chickpeas that has slowly simmered on the stove all afternoon, but frankly, I usually don’t have the time or the foresight for that. More often than not, I am digging through my pantry for a can of chickpeas to toss together a quick meal after a busy day — and I always reach for the same brand.
