Whenever I have to spell the word broccoli, I involuntarily sing a song from the widely un-acclaimed, 2003 Eddie Murphy film, Daddy Daycare, that likely no one remembers except for me.

In the scene, Murphy’s character, who works at an advertising firm, has hired two grown adults dressed in broccoli and carrot suits to host a focus group for kids. This is all a part of his futile attempt to market a new vegetable-flavored cereal, Veggie-Os, to a very uninterested audience.

“B-R-O-C-C-O-L-I *clap, clap, clap* I am the broccoli, don’t know why.”
