With the arrival of cooler fall days comes the desire to make dinner a bit more of an event. Gone is the need for quick, no-cook salads and throw-everything-on-the-grill dinners. Instead, we crave something a little less casual — a dinner we can linger over with a glass of red wine, maybe with a couple of friends we gathered up at the last minute, on a Wednesday, just because there’s a chill in the air.
