I love fresh flowers! Flowers instantly make the air feel cleaner, add a spark of color to the room, and connect the space to the outdoors in ways few other things can. What I don’t love is spending a gazillion dollars on flowers, which is very easy to do. Also, let’s be honest: I don’t like to be inconvenienced. Even if I were willing to pay more, if the flower shop is another stop, it’s probably not going to happen.
That’s why I especially love grocery store flowers. Whenever I have a little extra room in my budget, I grab a bouquet. Now, I know grocery store flowers get a bad rap for being cheap. That’s because they are cheap. But I don’t want to spend much more than $5 on something that’s going to die in a few days. And I’ve figured out two easy ways to make these less-expensive bouquets look way pricier.
