(I also loved reading the gamut of stories and opinions on the board.) Such was the case a couple weeks following my post on a title=”Are We Thwarting Our Children’s Instinct to Explore?” href=”http://www.marksdailyapple.com/are-we-thwarting-childrens-instinct-to-explore/”free-range kids/a. It’s true some other major media outlets took up the general subject in their op-eds, etc. More interestingly, I’ve stumbled across commentaries that cover everything from the a title=”Why Tree Climbing is Good for Children” href=”http://www.telegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/wellbeing/outdoors/11512054/Why-tree-climbing-is-good-for-children.html” target=”_blank”value of tree-climbing/a to the a title=”What Would My Mom Do: Drink Tab and Lock Us Outside” href=”http://community.today.com/parentingteam/post/what-would-my-mom-do-drink-tab-and-lock-us-outside” target=”_blank”no-fuss, no-guilt philosophy/a of 70s mothers (as the title notes, drinking Tab and locking us outside). Sound familiar to anyone?/p
