2010 Autism Awareness Walk Outer Banks

KnuckleUp Outer Banks is proud to support the OBX Autism Awareness Walk, an initiative of the Dare County Center and part of the Autism Awareness month campaign boosted by Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of autism and raising money to fund autism research.
The OBX Walk is targeted at the general public and stresses that autism is more common than people think. One of their goals is to encourage families to learn the signs of autism and talk to their doctor if they suspect their child is not meeting developmental milestones.
DETAILS
When: Saturday, April 10th
Where: Parks & Rec Northern Beach Division
(602 Mustian Road, KDH)
Time: Registration starts @ 9am, walk starts at 9:45am
Cost: Free to walk, $10 if you would like a t-shirt.
Donations go to Monarch Beach Club and Autism Society of NC – OBX Chapter

Ever since I was convinced to do Tabata I have seen huge results, I lost 6 pounds and gained energy in the first 3 weeks. When I was first told about Tabata I was very excited from the word go, however that excitement stemmed from the fact that I had no clue what it meant. I missed the first week of class b/c I was traveling for work so when I came in during the 2nd week I had some making it up to do. It was hard at first b/c my body wasn't used to working out at such a fast pace, but once I got into a rhythm I started to feel very good. These classes are no joke. If you stick with it you will leave there feeling stronger, healthier and overall better about yourself and what you've accomplished. I would recommend these classes to anyone. Darrin is a great trainer and he'll keep you going with his energy. - Jami L.
