The off-season is the time to hit the reset button on your players’ training routines. Here’s a proven way to do it.

It’s a cool eighty degrees outside. The players are all gathered at the base of a grassy hill. There is a cone with a picture of each mascot from our upcoming season schedule. “Okay, this is what we have: you’re going to lunge to the first cone, bear crawl to the second cone, soldier crawl to the third, crab crawl to the fourth, then get up and sprint out the rest of the hill. This is a race! First team to ten reps of the hill wins. Time to get after it!”
