Foam rolling may be useful in the short-term, but long-term, the results just don’t show a benefit.

Their thinking behind this self-administered, sometimes painful, myofascial release (SMR) technique is:

 

  1. “It will help with recovery.”
  2. “It will make me less sore tomorrow.”
  3. “It will prevent DOMS.”
