According to the Boston Globe the chances of catching a blue lobster are one in two million. Well, Massachusetts Lobsterman Wayne Nickerson just caught his second blue lobster this past week — so you might call him extremely lucky.

Nickerson caught his first blue lobster in 1990 and it was displayed at the Manomet lobster pound. On August 8th this year, Nickerson caught another blue lobster. His wife, Jan Nickerson, told the Boston Globe that “It was more brilliantly blue than the bluest hydrangea you’ve ever seen. It was almost fluorescent. It was almost glowing.” Nickerson aptly named the rare lobster “Bleu.”
