Intermittent Fasting – Not My Fight | Brad Pilon’s ‘Eat Blog Eat’ The truth about the intermittent fasting is bad for you movement is this: There are a group of people who have made millions of dollars convincing you that weight loss has to be complicated, and that you absolutely need their expertise to cut through this confusion to create the ideal weight loss diet. For these people there is a large financial benefit to attacking IF. There are also people who are genuinely curious about IF and have found some sort of information in the scientific community that troubles them, so they decided to broadcast it and their ideas to the world. I don’t mind this second group, since they help expand our understanding of how IF works.

I despise the word “diet”. I don’t diet. I never have. I don’t subscribe to diets as a means to losing weight because they do not work. But I accidentally realized recently while reading about Intermittent Fasting, that it’s an eating schedule I’ve kept for almost 20 years now, which allows me to eat whatever I want and what has probably kept me the same weight and size now as I was in high school.Continue Reading…Lose Weight Fast by Intermittent Fasting | The 8 Hour Diet & The Fast Diet* FACEBOOK * TWITTER * BLOGLOVIN’ * PINTEREST *

I get this question a lot, probably due to the fact I do variations of Intermittent Fasting and like to experiment with different protocols, so I thought I would write a blog post about it and give my 2 cents. IF for me is a great way to get some huge health benefits from abstaining from food through increasing autophagy. Autophagy is your body’s way of getting rid of dead cells and other shit you don’t need, sort of like a ‘detox’ Now we know that exercise increases autophagy too so fasting for the sole benefit of this biological process is kind of moot.
