Workouts | Aug 05, 2013Home Workout Routine: Low-Impact HIIT Go hard (but stay soft on your joints) with this fast, fat-burning circuit 1 of 7Home Workout Routine: Low-Impact HIIT High-intensity interval training (HIIT) describes any workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. It is without question one of the most effective and efficient ways to burn fat and boost aerobic capacity, but what most people don’t realize is that it doesn’t have to be high impact. If you’re nursing an injury (or want to avoid ever doing so in the future), you can still reap the fat-burning, metabolism-boosting benefits of HIIT.This quick workout plan was designed to help you push to your max without pounding your joints. You don’t need a single piece of equipment or a lot of space (and you won’t be bothering your neighbors with loud, thumping jumps), so this “quiet cardio” routine is perfect for a hotel room or small apartment.

How it works: Three days per week, do 1 set of every exercise in the circuit, performing each move at maximum intensity for 45 seconds, followed by 15 seconds of active recovery (step side to side or walk around the room to catch your breath).

Fasting a little is very good for us. It tends to extend our lifespan and make us healthier. When you eat a meal or a snack, the excess carbohydrates are stored as glycogen in the liver, where it is available to the body quickly, if needed. If it isn’t needed it is turned into fat

I went to dinner with some friends recently and one of them told me that he was trying on Intermittent Fasting for size. He explained that it is essentially a daily fast that is broken at the end of the day. So far, from what I could tell, it was working, whatever it was. He seemed more trim and had great energy.

After 2 Years of Paleo 3 Comments Monday, July 29th, 2013 Written by: Christopher E. AnthonyDear Robb Wolf,My better half explained the Paleo diet to me in a very simple way.  She said, “Look, you’re a nomad with a sharp stick. You can eat anything you can dig up, knock off a tree, or kill.”    I said, “OK, I’ll read Paleo Solution.”  I’m glad I did.  Your book was an enjoyable and life changing read. It’s been almost two years and I would like to share some of my results:Within six months I lost 50lbs and completely changed the way I interpret food. By day four I no longer needed antacids.  I’ve lived on all types for the past 25 years.

Intermittent fasting is not just a diet plan. It’s a lifestyle change. It’s based on the idea that the human body isn’t designed for three full meals a day, every day. Thousands of years ago, our ancestors had to hunt for their food
